John Herbert - Peacefully at University Hospital, London on Wednesday October 1, 2014, John Warboys of Parkhill, formerly of Woodstock, in his 75th year.  Beloved husband of Charlene for 52 years.  Loving father of Mark and wife Sherry of Woodstock, Michele Trepanier and husband Rick of Parkhill.  He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jamie and spouse Chris, Sara and spouse Jason, Will and spouse Ashley, Lacie and boyfriend Morgan, Tyler, Spencer and McKenzie; great-grandchildren Ethan, Ryan and Kylie, Nevaeh.  Brother of Bob, Marie Service and husband Bill, Leif and wife Marilyn, Kathy Talbot, Carol Ann and husband Ron Leis; brother-in-law of Jean Warboys and Betty Lowes. Leota Gertrude - Peacefully at Caressant Care, Courtland on Saturday May 24, 2014, Leota Hurley, formerly of Tillsonburg, in her 89th year.  Beloved wife of the late Percy Kingsbury and Seymour Hurley.  Loving mother of Florence (Kingsbury) Roswell, Archie (Dave) and Brenda Kingsbury, Ruth (Kingsbury) and Dave Winters, Ron and Katie Kingsbury, Fred and Judy Kingsbury, Edna (Kingsbury) and Russell Carroll, Brenda (Kingsbury) and Ron Lee; step-daughters Joanne (Hurley) and Art Laing, and Diane Hurley.  She will be missed by her 33 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Sister of Edna (Cowan) and Leslie Maguire, Alex and Vivian Cowan, and sister-in-law of Jean Cowan.  Predeceased by son-in-law Edward Roswell, grandsons William Roswell and David Kingsbury,  sisters and brothers Niva, Ira, Ellen, Leslie, Ruth, Erie and Martin.  Leota was a WWII veteran, served with CWAC Division as sergeant, member of Norwich Legion, Tillsonburg Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  Friends will be received at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.  Legion service Thursday 6:30 p.m.  Funeral service to honour Leota's life will be held at First Baptist Church, 47 Washington Grand Ave., Tillsonburg on Friday May 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.  Private family interment Rosanna Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Norwich Legion Poppy Fund.

James Wallace "Wally" - 1939 - 2014 .  It is with heavy hearts the family of Wally Orth announces his passing on Sunday May 18, 2014 at Woodstock Hospital with his family by his side, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.  Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen (Patchett) for over 43 years.  Cherished father of Tracey Justus (Ryan) and Susan Vuylsteke (Ryan).  Devoted grandfather to Ethan and Owen Justus and Remi and Nora Vuylsteke.  Special brother-in-law of Brenda Patchett, Marlene Chornie (Nick) and Pamela Orth.  Son-in-law of Phyllis Patchett.  Predeceased by his parents Russell and Blanche Orth, brother Bill Orth, and father-in-law Dewart Patchett.  Wally worked at the Delhi Research Station for 34 years.  He was an avid John Deere enthusiast and collector and could often be found driving around Burgessville on his 1937 model "D" John Deere tractor.  Over the years, Wally enjoyed camping trips and snowmobiling with family and friends, and taking his antique tractors to many shows.  Wally especially liked "shop night" with his John Deere friends.  Wally enjoyed many things in life and always found his own unique way of being able to do things.  Friends will be received at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.  Funeral service to honour Wally's life will be held at the funeral home on Friday May 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rae Robert - The family of R. Robert (Bob) Bishop announce his sudden, but peaceful, passing at Strathroy-Middlesex General Hospital on Monday February 3, 2014, in his 83rd year.  Beloved husband of the late Joan Hobbin (2007) after nearly sixty years of marriage; loving father of Pamela Christie (Peter 2010) of London and cherished grandfather of Erin Thum Johnson of London, England.  He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephew Julie Penny (Brent), Jane Prouse, Jill Richardson (Rick), Wendy VanDaele (Jerry), Laura Bishop (David Blackburn), Randy Bishop (Brenda), and several great nieces and great nephews.  Bob was born August 12, 1931 to the late Harold Bishop and Laura Sumner.  He was predeceased by brothers Alfred Bishop 1981 ( late Shirley), Gerald Bishop 1989 (late Til), sisters Eva Farrell 1974 ( late Morris), Pauline 1988 (late F/O William Kennedy 1944 and late Donald McLaren).  He was a respected and dedicated employee of Ontario Hydro for over thirty years. She was predeceased by three brothers, Harry (1999), Bill (1998) and Charlie (1921) and by her two sisters, Fannie Sinden (2001) and Lela Packer (1969). Cremation has taken place. WEEKS

William Charles (1924 - 2013) - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of William Charles Weeks of Otterville on August 11, 2013 in his 89th year.  Born in Barnstaple, Co. Devon, England, Charles spent his childhood years in Canada with his parents and brother Frederick.  The family returned to Devon, England prior to WWII.  Charles served in the Royal Navy during the war.  Stationed on the coast of Africa, he saw action in the battle of the Atlantic.  Following the war, he married Bridget O'Keefe in September 1946.  Together with his spouse and two young children, he returned to Canada in November 1956.  Charles never lost his love of the open sea and satisfied this passion by spending most of the summer boating and fishing at St. Williams on Lake Erie.  He was an avid reader with a great interest in history, politics, and nature.  Upon retirement he spent many hours in his workshop on projects.  Charles felt most things could be improved with some alteration or modification.  Predeceased (March 2013) by his spouse Bridget, Charles is survived by his son Lawrence (California) and his daughter Pauline Jull (Douglas) of Mississauga.  He also has a brother Freddy (Daphne) still living in Bristol, England.  In accordance with his wishes, there will be a private burial at Tillsonburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, it was Charles' wish that donations be made to a charity of your choosing.  Arrangements have been entrusted to THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020.

Hendrika - At Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday May 29, 2013, Hendrika "Hennie" Van Zeggelaar (nee Van Manen), of Burgessville, in her 81st year.  She was born in Ede in the Netherlands on August 27, 1932 and emigrated to Canada in 1952.  Beloved wife of the late Hendrik Van Zeggelaar (1987).  Together they raised 7 children on a farm near Burgessville.  Dear mother of Flora and her husband Jack Rodenburg of Muir,  Dick and his wife Corrie of Curries, Gary and his wife Evelina of Norwich, Jack of Mt. Marjorie May - Oct. 13, 1919 - May 2, 2013 - With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Marjorie May Pritchard, in her 94th year, at Sunnyside LTC, Kitchener on Thursday evening May 2, 2013.  Formerly of Waterloo, Sauble Beach, and Norwich.  She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Dillon (Gary Lorentz), Waterloo, daughter-in-law Vel Foster, Brampton, grandchildren Brenda Paoletti (Vince), Kitchener, Leigh Ann Kropf, Waterloo, Cory Foster (Cheryl), Georgetown, Sean Dillon (Catherine), Oakville, Kieron Dillon (Kim), Bryan OH, and 2 great-grandchildren Sherri Kropf and Giovanni Paoletti.  Marjorie is also survived by  sister Jean Hinks-Fleet, Norwich, and  brother Ken A. Farrell, Waterloo, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by  husband Stewart E. Pritchard (1973),  son Wayne Foster (2008),  parents Ethel (Bond) and Archie Farrell, sisters Erma Lemon and Marion Carroll, brothers Glen Farrell and Lloyd Farrell.  Marjorie was a Past Worthy Matron, Order of the Eastern Star, Georgian Chapter 186 Wiarton, and a lifetime member of the former Norwich Chapter.  Marjorie will be remembered for her love of family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her interest in family genealogy.  Many of us have memories of traveling country roads with her, searching for elusive tombstones.  She loved her music and was steadfast in her faith.  She gifted us with so many wonderful memories of summers spent at her home in Sauble Beach.  Visitation will be held at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020, on Monday May 6 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.  Funeral service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday May 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.  with Rev. Mary Ruth (Hanmer) - The dearly beloved wife of Lewis Stienstra passed away in the Mississauga Trillium Hospital on March 12, 2013, in her 90th year. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Kenneth Gordon - 1936-2013 - It is with profound sadness that Ken's family announces his sudden passing on February 28th while on vacation in Antigua. He will be greatly missed by his lifelong (58 years) friend and wife Margaret; sons baby John (deceased), Terry and Todd; daughters Wendy (Martin), Karen (Rick) and Laura; granddaughters Sarah (deceased), Vanessa and Jasmine, grandsons Kenneth, Jeremy and Daniel. Helen Ann - It is with much sadness that the family of Helen Ann Hanson (nee Porteous) shares the news of her passing, after her courageous and dignified battle with cancer.  Loved by Tom for 45 years.  Devoted, caring, and loving Mom to Jennifer (John), Jo-Ann (Scott), and Justin (Nicole), and best ever Nannie, Grandma Ann and Mommila to Riley, Laurel, Tanner, Tyson, Ella, and Ava.  She will be missed by mother Helen Porteous (Brantford), and siblings: twin sister Lynn (Brian) of Waubaushene, Ken (Jean) of Brantford, Bob (Donna) of Cathcart, sister-in-law Jan of Simcoe, Kathy of Toronto, Susan (Paul) of Paris, Wendy (John) of Kitchener, Nancy (Brad) of Waterford, Holly (Steve) of St. George, James (Jill) of Brantford, and Ruth (John) of Burford.  Fondly remembered by Tom's family: Margaret (Jim) of East Oxford, Grace of Prince Edward Island, Ellen (Tom) of Scotland, Bruce of Scotland, and Marianna (Murray) of Scotland, and sisters-in-law Nora Hanson and Joyce Hanson.  Predeceased by father Edward Porteous and brother Bill Porteous.  Ann has left a legacy of her baking treats and cabbage rolls for her girls who are still perfecting the craft, and her treats were always shared with family and friends.  She will be missed as a true friend to so many.  Ann dedicated several years to volunteering for the MS Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, and Cancer Society, as well as being a devoted member of Otterville United Church.  She was a volunteer friend of the Optimists and helped with several Chamber of Commerce events.  Ann sends hugs and more hugs to all who walked this journey with her and her family.

                     He took you home and gave you rest.

Betty - Unexpectedly at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday January 20, 2013, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Wilson, wife of the late Robert J. (Bob) Wilson, at the age of 83.  Betty is survived by her children Mary of Kingston, Tim of Toronto, Martha and husband Mike Evans of London, and Todd and wife Glenda of Atlanta GA, and was "Grandma Betty" to loving grandchildren Jeanette, Natalie, and Melissa Evans, Holly and Harmony Wilson, and Alex Wilson.  Also surviving are her brother Robert Bayne and wife Phyllis, and sisters-in-law Phyllis Patchett  and Ruth Wist.  Betty was predeceased by her parents Allan McGregor and Florence Jeanette Bayne.  Betty graduated from the University of Toronto in 1952 as a pharmacist, and practiced for many years in Sarnia and Wyoming area.  After Bob's retirement, they moved to Tillsonburg in 1999.  Betty was a faithful and dedicated volunteer with Annandale House and the Helping Hand Food Bank in Tillsonburg, as well as a regular contributor to the Tillsonburg newspaper of "Bunker to Bunker", a column about the nine hole ladies golf league at The Bridges.  Betty was also involved in the Norfolk Club of the Canadian Federation of University Women, most recently as president.  Friends will be received at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 48 Brock St. W., Tillsonburg on Friday January 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
