Peter - At Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday March 1, 2015, Peter Vanderweerd of Norwich, formerly of RR#2 Burgessville, at the age of 90.  Beloved husband of Paulina (Byl).  Dear father of the late Bert (2012) and his wife Corina of Norwich, Len and wife Hendrika of Norwich, Henny and husband Dirk Van Esch of Otterville, May Newell of London, Joe and wife Patricia of Tillsonburg, Alice and husband Adam Kopala of London, Henry and wife Marcella of Norwich, Emma and husband Calvin Walsh of Brantford, Esther and husband Dave Van Manen of Norwich, Evelyn and husband Ross Derksen of Waupun WI.  He will be missed by his 43 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Albert and wife Annie, Hennie and husband Marinus Schilder, Truus Vanderweerd, and sister-in-law Alie Vanderweerd, all of The Netherlands.  Predeceased by sister Aaltje, brothers Henk, Johannes and wife Coba.  Friends will be received at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 MaIn St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Tuesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at The Heritage Reformed Church, Burgessville on Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. D.V. Carl Alexander- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, father-in-law and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him.  Survived by his loving wife Blanche. Beverley "Bev" Avey - Softly and tenderly Jesus called Bev, his faithful servant, home on Friday January 9, 2015 in his 97th year.  Beloved husband of 66 years to Ena (Saunders) Avey.  Loving father of John (Christiane), Joanne VanDyk (late John), and Janet DeCloet (Paul).  Gramps to Kelly Gubesch (Al), Kyle VanDyk (Tracie), Kevin VanDyk (Abby), and Justine DeCloet (Mike).  Choo Choo Gramps to Kate, Michael, Mitchell, Stefan, Quinn, and Macy.  Dear brother-in-law of Meta Avey (late Clarence), Phyllis McGee (Ike), Donna Saunders (late Jack), Bud Saunders (Dona), and Helen Saunders (late Bill).  Survived by several nieces and nephews.  Bev was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  Predeceased by parents James and Charlotte, brothers Kendrick (Ev), Douglas (Marion), Clarence (Meta), and Russell, and by sisters Marguerite, Pauline, and Phyllis (Stacey).  Also predeceased and loved by many of the Saunders clan.  Bev retired from the Ministry of Transportation after 35 years.  He was proud to call Norwich his home and enjoyed supporting the local hockey and baseball teams.  Nothing gave him greater joy than his family and supporting the many activities of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was their greatest fan!  Resting at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held on  Monday January 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Anglican Church, Otterville.  Interment Norwich Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church or Norwich Minor Hockey Association.  "A life well lived and a man well loved."

James Wallace "Wally" - 1939 - 2014 .  It is with heavy hearts the family of Wally Orth announces his passing on Sunday May 18, 2014 at Woodstock Hospital with his family by his side, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.  Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen (Patchett) for over 43 years.  Cherished father of Tracey Justus (Ryan) and Susan Vuylsteke (Ryan).  Devoted grandfather to Ethan and Owen Justus and Remi and Nora Vuylsteke.  Special brother-in-law of Brenda Patchett, Marlene Chornie (Nick) and Pamela Orth.  Son-in-law of Phyllis Patchett.  Predeceased by his parents Russell and Blanche Orth, brother Bill Orth, and father-in-law Dewart Patchett.  Wally worked at the Delhi Research Station for 34 years.  He was an avid John Deere enthusiast and collector and could often be found driving around Burgessville on his 1937 model "D" John Deere tractor.  Over the years, Wally enjoyed camping trips and snowmobiling with family and friends, and taking his antique tractors to many shows.  Wally especially liked "shop night" with his John Deere friends.  Wally enjoyed many things in life and always found his own unique way of being able to do things.  Friends will be received at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.  Funeral service to honour Wally's life will be held at the funeral home on Friday May 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rae Robert - The family of R. Robert (Bob) Bishop announce his sudden, but peaceful, passing at Strathroy-Middlesex General Hospital on Monday February 3, 2014, in his 83rd year.  Beloved husband of the late Joan Hobbin (2007) after nearly sixty years of marriage; loving father of Pamela Christie (Peter 2010) of London and cherished grandfather of Erin Thum Johnson of London, England.  He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephew Julie Penny (Brent), Jane Prouse, Jill Richardson (Rick), Wendy VanDaele (Jerry), Laura Bishop (David Blackburn), Randy Bishop (Brenda), and several great nieces and great nephews.  Bob was born August 12, 1931 to the late Harold Bishop and Laura Sumner.  He was predeceased by brothers Alfred Bishop 1981 ( late Shirley), Gerald Bishop 1989 (late Til), sisters Eva Farrell 1974 ( late Morris), Pauline 1988 (late F/O William Kennedy 1944 and late Donald McLaren).  He was a respected and dedicated employee of Ontario Hydro for over thirty years. He was a longtime member of St. John's Lodge # 104, Norwich.  The family would like to say a very special thank you for the kindness and compassion always given to Bob by the wonderful staff at Strathmere Lodge, with an extra special thank you to Mary Laskey, horticultural therapist, for helping Bob feel challenged, productive and humbly proud.  There will be no visitation.  A private family service will be held at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Monday February 10, 2014.  Spring interment Norwich Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Strathmere Womens' Auxiliary or charity of your choice.

Steven Wayne - Suddenly at home on Wednesday January 15, 2014,  Steven Wayne McLees of RR#2 Scotland ON, in his 58th year.  Beloved son of Gerald and Marilyn McLees of Norwich ON.  Cherished father of Steven "Wally" McLees (Shawna Clements), Jeanette  and Jennifer Benoit.  Beloved step-father to Glenn Goddyn, Mary Paschert, Terra Dominique (Jeff Hearns), and families.  Dear brother of Douglas McLees (Melissa Morris) of Campbell River BC, Janice and Everett Gow of Brighton ON, Kathryn and Paul De Jong of Norwich ON.
